As a Business Specialist, you will contribute to drive Qilimanjaro's growth and success. You will be responsible for identifying national and international funding opportunities, and for preparing project proposals, both for public and private initiatives. Additionally, you will support business development and product-related activities, from attending national and international conferences and events to support in the management of the sales pipeline.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Funding Search and Pre-Award Management.
- Identify funding opportunities: regional, national, and international competitive calls.
- Assure compliance with the call regulations (in coordination with the legal team).
- Coordinate and contribute to proposal preparation and submission to funding agencies.
- Help with budget preparation.
- Communicate with external consultants.
- Provide a smooth transition into the Post-Award Project Management area, by forwarding all relevant information and documentation.
Support to Product Team
- Contribute to internal documentation related to market information.
- Contribute to commercial documentation for product offering.
- Contribute to business-related deliverables for ongoing projects (Dissemination and Exploitation Plan, Business Plan, IP Strategy…).
Support to Business Development Team
- Represent Qilimanjaro at international quantum computing events and conferences.
- Help with events-attendance activities (researching attendants list, scheduling appointments with leads, feeding internal CRM, completing conference report…).
- Help in pipeline management (follow-up of leads, prospects, and clients).
- Help in account management (coordinate deliverables and billing).
Minimum requirements
We are looking for motivated candidates with a creative, collaborative, proactive and diligent personality, meeting the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a (public or private) pre-award administration identifying regional, national and international (mainly European) funding opportunities.
- Strong understanding of compliance and eligibility conditions of public calls.
- Ability to build a project proposal in coordination with internal or external stakeholders.
- Solid experience with budget development and ability to analyse implication of proposed budget.
- Experience in business development activities in deep-tech sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
Soft skills:
- Strong analytical, organization, detail-oriented, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective written and verbal communication in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of work performance, identify challenges, and recommend course of action for resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines with professionalism.
