Fabrication Quantum Engineer
Your main responsibility will be to standardize fabrication routines to produce coherent analog QPUs. You will work in high-standard clean rooms and cutting-edge nanotechnology instruments to help us develop and expand our current processors. In particular, you will:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Work directly in the fabrication of our novel superconducting flux-qubit chips and develop cleanroom recipes to improve our technology.
Collaborate with partner companies and research institutes to advance the field of fabrication of superconducting qubit chips.
Supervise the maintenance of the company’s cleanroom instruments.
Contribute to the measurement and characterization of the fabricated devices to assess their quality.
Share tasks, responsibilities and support the general work of Qilimanjaro’s technical team.
Minimum requirements
- Doctorate in Physics or related field, or its equivalent in experience-years.
- Possess a strong enthusiasm for physics and in general for understanding the behavior of complex phenomena.
- Demonstrated a strong ability and skill in Fabrication.
- Good reporting skills to summarize lab work both verbally and in writing.
- Team-working, constructive attitude.
Any of the following skill will be highly valued:
- Specific fabrication techniques for superconducting qubits: e-beam lithography, metal deposition.
- Experience in cryogenics.
- Previous leadership role/experience.
- Electromagnetic simulation software (e.g., HFSS, CST, Maxwell, Sonnet).
- Programming skills, particularly in Python.
Please mention in your application both availability dates and whether you would need an EU work permit to be arranged.
