
Junior Electronics engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantum Computer Deployment Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in bringing the power of quantum computing to life by deploying and installing our complex systems.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers to select and integrate components for quantum computing setups, participating in testing and validation. Deploy and optimize 3D models and system configurations, operate cryostats, and install and document hardware components for quantum systems.
- Collaborate with engineers on component selection, procurement, and integration for new quantum computing setups.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for prototyping, testing, and validating novel quantum hardware solutions.
- Work with engineers and scientists to deploy quantum computer systems on-site.
- Develop and optimize 3D models and system models for clear visualization and comprehensive documentation of quantum computing systems.
- Operate cryostats to ensure proper temperature and pressure levels for qubit operation.
- Install and configure components, including racks, cryogenic systems, and control electronics.
- Maintain detailed documentation of deployment procedures and configurations
Location: UAB, CAMPUS BELLATERRA, 08193, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona. (TEMPORARILY, will change to Barcelona City)

Minimum requirements
- Desirable 5 years (minimum 3 years) experience in similar positions.
- Industrial knowledge and experience on collaborating with external providers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunication Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about quantum computing.
- Desirable experience in electronics setup assembly and validation.
- Proactive attitude towards assembly tasks and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of quantum mechanics or willingness to acquire such knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Work permit for Europe, or european citizenship
