Senior Fabrication Quantum Engineer

We are looking for highly motivated candidates to join our permanent staff.

At Qilimanjaro we work on superconducting-based quantum computers, both gate-based systems as well as our signature product, analog quantum processors.

Job description:

• Development and standardization of fabrication routines to produce coherent analog QPUs, working in high-standard cleanrooms and cutting-edge instrumentation.
• Collaborate with partner companies and research institutes to advance the field of fabrication of superconducting qubit chips.
• Supervise the maintenance of the company’s own fabrication instrumentation.
• Contribute to the measurement and characterization of the fabricated devices to assess their quality.
• Share tasks and responsibilities and support the general work of Qilimanjaro’s technical team.

• PhD, or an equivalent number of years of experience.
• Demonstrated a strong ability in Fabrication.
• Good command of English language (oral and written), including good reporting skills.
• Team-working, constructive attitude.

Any of the following skills will be highly valued:

• Long-term experience fabricating superconducting qubits.
• Usage of specific lithography tools: e-beam, metal deposition tools.
• Programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Previous leadership role/expereince.
• Electromagnetic simulation software (e.g., HFSS, CST, Maxwell, Sonnet).
