Senior Quantum Measurement Engineer

Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech is seeking a Senior Quantum Measurement Engineer to join our team in advancing the development, control, and characterization of superconducting quantum processors. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in superconducting circuits, thrives in collaborative environments, and actively supports the growth of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Characterize superconducting qubits and evaluate device performance.
• Develop and implement advanced control and calibration techniques for analog quantum processors.
• Collaborate closely with design, fabrication, setup integration, and software teams to ensure alignment across development stages.
• Contribute to R&D efforts to enhance quantum device fidelity, stability, and scalability.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior members of the quantum engineering team.

• PhD in Physics with a focus on superconducting quantum circuits.
• Demonstrated experience in quantum measurement and control.
• Strong analytical skills and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in transmon (or fluxonium) measurements is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in quantum device design and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages used for instrumentation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with cryogenic setups, calibration workflows, and control electronics.

Additional Information

• Work will be primarily onsite, with possibility for remote work during the week.
